Most recently manufactured time clocks and date stamps are compliant. If a machine is noncompliant, the date recorded or stamped will be incorrect. This may be unacceptable if the time clock or date stamp is used on dated material for personnel, legal documents or attendance records. If only the month, day of the month, and/or time of day are important, then the department does not need to replace the equipment.
