Barbara Duncan, Life Sciences Addition Jeanine Edwards, UCPD David Hernes, Math Department Alex Para, EECS Larry Sautter, University Cashier Sara Shirazi, Physical Plant-Campus Services Susan Slavick, College of Chemistry Sherree Wiezer, UCPD Carl Woo, IST-CNS Work with departments to upgrade building alarm and access equipment and systems, for both those that are managed centrally by the UC Police Department (UCPD) but are paid for (recharged to) departments, and those owned and controlled (standalone) by departments. Also ensure central equipment and software used by the UCPD for alarms and access control is Year 2000 compatible. For centrally managed alarm and access controls, evaluate alternatives, make recommendations to departments, and ensure that the upgrades are made and the project is completed by the end of November 1999. Make recommendations to the Steering Committee any measures considered appropriate for central funding measures to assist departments in fixing or replacing non-compliant equipment. For departmentally owned and controlled (standalone) alarm and access systems, ensure that departments are aware of Year 2000 issues and help departments identify systems which are not Year 2000 compliant.
