Important dates:

• December 24 - beginning of energy curtailment
• December 28, 29 - non-holiday days, energy curtailment in effect
• January 3 (Monday) - first regular work day in the year 2000
• January 11 - Spring Semester officially begins
• January 18 (Tuesday) - Instruction begins

As described in the October 26, 1999 campus memorandum, Departmental Contingency Planning For Year 2000, department heads and administrative officers are to ensure that adequate departmental contingency plans are established for the Y2K rollover period, and to inform everyone involved with Y2K preparation in their area of responsibility about these plans.

Department management should identify information systems staff who will assist with correcting computer system problems in a timely manner during the period January 3rd - 31st.
