| Year 2000 Steering Committee |
|
In October 1998, Vice Chancellor Horace Mitchell, Business and Administrative Services, with the approval of the Chancellor's Cabinet, created the campus Year 2000 Steering Committee. The Committee, with representatives from each Vice Chancellor, is intended to ensure that all campus concerns and issues with Year 2000 are effectively addressed before the end of 1999.
The Steering Committee's primary function is to set policy and direction for campus Year 2000 efforts, oversee the work of the Operational Subcommittees, and monitor reports from central departments with specific Y2K responsibility. The Operational Subcommittees' primary function is to assist the campus's many departments and units in performing their individual responsibilities to identify and correct Y2K deficiencies.
